Music, from the Amici stage to “Dove Finiscono I Sogni?”: Jacopo Sol’s first EP

Among the most appreciated faces of Amici 24, Jacopo Sol is ready to release “Dove Finiscono I Sogni?” his first EP for Island Records (Universal Music Italy): a project that includes experiences, emotions and all the sensitivity of his 22 years. The project, announced during the semi-final of Amici 24 and already available for pre-order at the link https://jacoposol.lnk.to/ dovefinisconoisogni? , will be out from Friday 23 May on all platforms.
The songs “Complici”, “Di Tutti” and “Estremo” – already presented in the program – have highlighted an authentic writing, capable of telling love in its most naked and contradictory form.
There is passion, there is anger, but above all a restless beauty that keeps everything in balance. In “Estremo”, the project’s manifesto single, “love is an evil that has no remedy”: not a caress, but a shock. Jacopo Sol thus embraces the feeling in its absolute form, without reserve. The EP is completed by new tracks that consolidate his artistic identity, between contemporary pop, singer-songwriter and a strong expressive urgency.
The closing with the live cover of “Hotel California” by the Eagles, recorded during the Amici live, was much more than a simple tribute: it was an authentic tribute to his artistic roots, which moved and struck deeply. The choice of that song, so iconic and full of history, highlighted not only his voice, but his ability to interpret, to get to the heart of the songs and return them with a new intensity. The interpretation hit the mark, standing out for its intensity and maturity, so much so that it attracted attention even outside the Italian borders. The video has collected tens of millions of views, reaching an international audience and arousing curiosity and interest also from a foreign audience, who began to discover – and recognize – the value of his voice and his interpretative sensitivity. A performance that demonstrated how music, when truly lived, can speak to anyone, anywhere.
This is the tracklist of “WHERE DO DREAMS END?”:
1. THOSE LIKE ME
2. EXTREME
3. CHILDREN
4. ACCOMPLICES
5. ICE
6. OF ALL
7. HOTEL CALIFORNIA
The EP will be available in the following formats:
– Numbered, autographed CD
– Standard CD
But not only new music: on June 1st, in fact, Jacopo Sol will take the stage at the Nameless Festival for the format “Island Presents”, one of the most anticipated musical events of the summer, which takes place in the suggestive setting of Lake Como. A special and highly anticipated moment: it will be his first live performance after his experience at Amici.
Jacopo Sol has immediately enchanted the public with his authenticity and a talent that does not go unnoticed. This first recording project is the result of an intense journey that has enriched him and made him evolve, but it also represents the first step in an artistic story that still has a lot to tell.
Jacopo Sol, stage name of Jacopo Porporino, is an Italian singer-songwriter and musician born on May 20, 2002 in San Severo, in the province of Foggia. From an early age, he was immersed in music, thanks to his parents who made him listen to artists such as Pino Daniele and David Bowie during car trips. At the age of eight, his mother enrolled him in a guitar course, where he learned his first chord: G major. This moment inspired his stage name, a symbol of his musical roots. In May 2022, Jacopo moved to Milan to continue his university studies in Economics and deepen his musical path. The city offered him new opportunities for artistic growth, allowing him to experiment with sounds that combine acoustic and electronic elements, with a vocal approach that varies from light to more scratched timbres, depending on the emotion he wants to convey. In 2023, he participated in Sanremo Giovani with the song “Cose che non sai”, reaching the final. Subsequently, he entered the school of “Amici di Maria De Filippi” in the twenty-fourth edition, initially in Rudy Zerbi's team. During the program, he released several singles, including “Ancora”, “Dormi”, “+ Tempo”, “Slowmo” and “Complici”, the latter released during his participation in Amici. In addition to his career as an interpreter, Jacopo also began his career as an author, writing the song “Niente di male” for Giorgia. In May 2025 he released his debut EP “Dove Finiscono i Sogni?”, seven songs that mix different genres, but always maintaining emotional authenticity and intimate and personal writing as a common thread. His music stands out for sincere lyrics and an ability to tell his own life, divided between university studies and a passion for music.
